Unfortunately because of our tardiness in booking Petrel missed the Jo’burg’s Channel Road Show for the launch of Pastel Accounting 2007, or version 9, as us Pastel Dealers like to call it; and had to attend the Road show held at the Centurion Lake Hotel, Pretoria this month.
Petrel Computer Consultants got together with the Pretoria dealers to attend the launch and stay in touch with Softline Pastel, network with our peers/competition and of course indulge in some complementary drinks and snacks.
The general consensus was that this was yet again one of the best road shows ever. As some of our clients had to date already received their upgraded package there was great excitement in the room for the official launch of the product and everyone eagerly peered at the presentation to see the new features.
We were also privy to some in house team work where Pastel embarked on the process of determining a set of business values for Pastel to define the way they do business. Each department in Pastel participated and the end result was the following business values that they believe they can offer the market. We agree with them and all dealers were encourage to take up the same set of values in their own businesses
The upcoming version of Pastel Accounting has a plethora of new Assistants and features. Some of these being:
Base
Receipting Module
We are really looking forwarded to showing all our cover clients how will receive this upgrade for free in the next 2 months what the new features can do to make your businesses more streamlined and efficient
